‘SOMETHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT’ is an ongoing photoblog that brings together a collection of photographic images. It is a merger of genres; objects, architecture, still life, etc. Taken from the immediate area, the northern district of Amsterdam. The principal theme in these works is desire. I see one’s hope, needs and longing as the main source of human conduct. Desire is often concealed in everyday life, but emerges in different guises. In this project I strive to manifest this hidden longing and make it distinguishable in an enlarged and stylised manner.
